The Solar panel converts sunlight into energy that is then stored by the rechargeable battery. The performance of the lantern is determined by the amount of sunlight that reaches the solar panel. This will be affected by a number of factors.
- Location- for maximum charge place in direct sunlight and position away from trees, buildings and fences that may cast a shadow at different times of the day.
- Cleanliness of the top of the solar panel- ensure the top is clean, free from debris and snow in the winter months.
- The Weather conditions - If the weather has been cloudy or overcast during the day less sunlight will reach the panel.
- The time of year- there are less daylight hours in winter to recharge the battery

How to Use : There is a button in the battery box (located on the underside of the light). Please press down to the 'ON' position, then the automatic system will start to work. When the environment turns dark, the solar light will automatically begin to work. The light will only work if there is enough power stored in the battery.
If the Light does not work please check the following :
- Make sure the power switch is 'ON'
- Check the battery to ensure that they have secure contact with the terminals.
- Ensure that the solar light is placed in a sunny location and not in a shady area. The solar panel faces towards the Sun.
If the light stops working after it has been used for a long time, the battery may be beyond its lifespan. You may open the cover of the battery to change with a new rechargeable battery.
